Comenius – International Week (27/02 – 03/03)

Comenius – International Week

The International Comenius Week took place on the Edetania campus from 27 February until 3 March. More than 50 university students, 20 of them coming from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, and Holland (from  Thomas More hogeschool, Inholland, University College South Denmark, HELMO – Haute Ecole Libre Mosane, Pädagogische Hochschule Schwäbisch Gmünd), got together to discuss immigration and how Education and teachers, in particular, could improve the situation of those leaving their homes behind because they are running away from a war, or from any kind of prosecution. Apart from the academic sessions, these students shared cultural visits, group lunches, and a photography workshop in which they learned to contrast graphic stories. It was an intensive week of intercultural coexistence whose main goal is to get rid of stereotypes and learn about the other.
