Experiencia OUT – Daniel Ordiñana Bellver

Daniel Ordiñana Bellver, PhD candidate of “Retos Ciencias Sociales y Humanas Sociedad Siglo XXI” from the Catholic University of Valencia “San Vicente Mártir”, has made two international mobilities, the first in Lithuania at the Lietuvos Sporto Universitetas and his second mobility was in the United States of America at the Lousiana State University (LSU). Daniel briefly tells us about his experience both at Lousiana and Kaunas:

“To give my PhD project an international perspective, my directors and I decided that it would be enriching to spend a stay in a foreign country where university professionals were specialists in my field. So…

I knew from the beginning that I would benefit from the work of great professionals at LSU and, three months later, I can say that my expectations have been exceeded. I have received attention and support that I did not expect from the beginning. Academically, my stay has been beneficial for my PhD because of the guidance of two professors from this school, Irena and Inga, who have been my supervisors during my stay. I have also been able to appreciate Lithuanian cuisine, culture and especially Lithuanian sport, thanks to these two amazing people.

Going to Kaunas and LSU is the closest thing to being a kid in a candy shop for someone as enthusiastic about sport and everything around it as I am.

I am sure I will find a way to visit this amazing country once again in the future.

Finally, I would like to thank my home, UCV, for supporting this kind of initiative and making things as easy as they have been for me. I believe that internationalisation is the key to keep moving forward and not fall behind.

This is not the end of the road.”
